Spuds, period. I have lots from other states, don't even have a transportation token. Guess I'll wait till they invent the bus.

Quote: I still don't know how to quote. When you initiate a Reply to Topic, then a new toolbar opens up for you with formatting tools. The next to last icon to the right is the 'quote' icon ...... looks like a page with a red arrow pointing to the right. Anyways ...... click on that and a sting will appear in your message. Highlight the text you wish to quote, copy it and then paste in the center of the quote string. That's it .... try it David

I live in Brisbane, Australia. It's a state capital and a big city (as far as Australian cities go), so there's lots of tokens from here. It's even been mentioned on our circulating coinage: this 50 cent coin dates from 1982. Tradesman tokens were issued back in the mid-1800's, when there was a shortage of official coinage. Much like the US "Hard Times token" or British "Conder Token" series. This token was used for exit from the local rubbish tip (in case you were wondering what a "transfer station" was a euphemism for). It features the corporate logo of the city council. Apparently too many people souvenired these tokens; the tip still uses a token-exit system, but the "tokens" in use now are blank brass discs.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

I live near a small town that's popularly called the Mineral Capital of Canada. Being located on the Great Canadian Shield it's one of the few places in the world where the Earth's crust is exposed and raw (another is the bottom of the Grand Canyon in the US). The mineral variety is unbelievable. Of course the Trade dollar makes no mention of this. Duh.

Here's the city where my family is from (and my parents are still there) Here's where I grew up (not exactly this town, but close enough) And, finally, my latest residence. When we visited this museum each of my kids got this token. And, as I see, I have quite a few neighbors here.
