I'm wondering if it's worth my time to search Canadian quarters for anything good. The only ones I find are worth keeping from my change are 2004 Poppies and 2008 Armistice in reddest condition possible. Also pure nickel quarters pre-2001. I already have a full set of all the commemoratives and the Vancouver circulation coins. There's nowhere to go from here, really. Does anyone have success with these?

I ordered a couple boxes a month ago. I managed to pull 8 silver quarters out of it and some 73 mounties (they sell good as rolls). There was one uncirculated roll of 1976 but I have a couple already so it wasn't a big win, just a nice addition. I also ended up with 48 US quarters between the two boxes.

Quarter searching is great for collecting series like 2009 Olympics, 2000 series, 1999 series and 1992 provincial series. The mint is rapidly reclaiming pre-2000 nickel coins.
Silver is out there, but requires a lot of work. I have found 2 x 1968 silver quarters and once an entire collection dating from 1943 to 1968 (that was my lucky day) in one roll.

I searched about 15,000 quarters over the winter. Found a few 1968 silver. Recently purchased 30 rolls and found 7 silvers 1962-1967 in two rolls. Went back for more and found nothing. As Ugly mentioned, I kept all mounties as I have a soft spot for them. I can still remember when they came out, my mother saved them. She used to say that the mountie was dis-proportionally small compared to the horse. I wonder where they are now? Maybe she snagged a LB without knowing. Anyway, 1945V is correct regarding the commemoratives, it's a good way to start and fill in a set.
I also read recently about the Mint's alloy recycling program. Eventually it is going to be rare to find any circulating coins prior to 2000, won't that be boring. We also searched nickels and found 3 clipped planchets, and saved all 1981 and prior. I have about 60 pounds of .999 nickel, that I stashed away. At just over 2x face right now, what the heck, maybe my kid's kids will get something out of it.

I've found some silvers, completed a few sets of the olympics and 2000 (still trying to complete a 1992 and a second 1999 set). I've found three 91's, and some silver (not many - only about 10 or 12). I think the oldest quarter I've found roll bhunting (in about 8 boxes) is from 1940.

I went to the bank today and searched about $1000 in quarters. The second roll yielded a 1963 quarter but that was the only silver. Lots of 1973 Quarters but nothing worth keeping.
Because I'm currently so close to the border, LOTS of American quarters end up in rolls. I ended up finding about two full rolls of USA quarters.

I enjoy Candadian quarter searching. I find lots of colored quarters and RCMP quarters....havnt found any silver yet, oh well. I did find a 1960 silver dime in a penny roll just recently. Is it worth keeping the prior 2000 quarters if they are taking them out of circulation? Also I have found like 4 sets of olympics except for the hockey one...i swear I have 3 sets that need the hockey one I can never find that one.

Solidifier, do you mean the standard hockey quarter or the one put out in 2009 to commemorate Canada's hockey gold in 2002? If the gold medal one, do you mean men's or women's, and also plain or coloured?

snicker... snicker... snicker... sorry I just had to. With CRH if you are not doing volume, you are not likely finding anything. I aim to search $7000 in quarters each week, and $3000+ dimes.
I am lucky if I average $2 in silver.
