I am a bit board - I am getting ready to leave for Alaska and as I am packing up all my coins to put into storage - I thought I might take a break here and there and start what I think will be a fun thread.

Does anybody want to play along?

Would like to start out by saying I knew what I was buying before hand so I am not upset with the dealer in fact was told the grades he would grade them himself. I really want to know what these guys at SGS were smoking that day - even I can see they are not perfect coins.

I know CCF wants each coin in it's own thread but thought because this is a graded year set, it might be better to post them all in this thread one a day for 5 days. This would give some time between posts for you all to give your grades. Give me your thoughts on posting them all in one thread or break up the threads. For now I will start with one.

I really don't care that these are in the slabs - for one they are graded wrong - so would it make a difference to you grading them if I broke them out of the slab or can you grade them just fine in the slab? I have a hammer and like I said, I AM BOARD

First pics are of the set and then the Kennedy

As you can see, even looking just at the pictures in the slabs, these can not be MS70. Even I can see these are miss graded - but how bad.

More to come - Peace
Brent

OMG - no misspelled words - that's a first

SGS has a long and lively reputation for slabbing everything, and I mean everything they get a hold of as MS70.

Normally I would post some example links, but after doing a search there were just too many to choose from.

So, use the forum search for 'SGS' and make your own decision.
