Not saying I will be up that early, but I know some of you are. Hopefully any confusion on the new rules will be eliminated as we go along. Prize for this round: 10 uncirculated Lincoln cents (all different dates and/or mint marks, my choice), and a 2011 Blue Book. Picture will be coming shortly. As if this game weren't nerve-racking enough, I've tweaked the guessing rules.. AND the list... oh, and how many to guess. Please read everything over, especially the guessing rules (below the rules quote) and let me know if you have any questions before we get started. List of 22 that I will pull 12 from: ZWD Zimbabwe Dollar AUD Australian Dollar CAD Canadian Dollar CHF Swiss Franc EGP Egyptian Pound ISK Iceland Krona FJD Fiji Dollar FIM Finnish Markka GHS Ghanna Cedi BWP Botswana Pula NZD New Zealand Dollar MUR Mauritius Rupee SEK Swedish Krona SGD Singapore Dollar USD US Dollar UZS Uzbekistani Sum IQD Iraqi Dinar GRD Greece Drachma DKK Denmark Krone SZL Swaziland Lilangeni XAU Gold XAG Silver Quote: Scooby's original rules For those of you not familiar with the game: Someone (in this case, me) selects 10 12 currencies and arranges them in a certain order (NO duplicates will be used!). The players (y'all) - yes, I'm from the south, try to guess which currencies and in what order. After each guess, you will get clues as to how many are correct in total, and how many are in the right position. But, it's up to you to figure out which ones! Let's take a test run: Let's say I've chosen: MXN, JPY, XAU, USD, CHF, GBP, EUR, GRD, VND, DKK And the first guess is: AUD, CAD, XAU, NZD, GBP, SGD, XAG, IQD, SZL, SEK Then the clue would be 2 right in total (XAU and GBP) and 1 in the right position (XAU). But, again, all you will get from me is 2 correct, 1 in the right position. You have to figure out which is correct and in the right place. Guessing rules for this round: There can be UP TO THREE guesses per day (1 day will be defined as midnight to midnight EST). The first daily guess is subject to the "normal" rule that applies to all guesses: (A) If you post a reply that has too many or not enough selections, you may repost with the correct number of currencies. DO NOT EDIT YOUR POST - just repost. Second guess of the day: (A) You must wait until all pending guesses have been replied to with # right/right position. (B) You must be the FIRST second guess after (A) has been satisfied. If you are the second or third, etc, you must wait until the following day and your guess will not be attributed. This sounds confusing, but I will illustrate below. (C) You may not delete your guess! Once you post, you must leave it up. Illustrations of (B) above: Scooby posts guess 1 of the day svslav posts guess 1 of the day Both are answered with # right and # in the right position. Both have another guess at the ready! Posting nearly at the same time, svslav posts a smidgen faster than Scooby. Svslav will get a reply with # right and how many in the right place, while Scooby has to wait until the following day to post any other guesses. Another scenario: Scooby posts guess 1 of the day rikcando posts guess 1 of the day Both are answered with # right and # in the right position. Both have another guess at the ready! Rikcando posts right away, but Scooby sees he has accidentally listed one of the 10 twice, so needs to adjust it. Rikcando gets an answer on # right and # in the right position - and now since all prior guesses have been answered, Scooby can post his second guess of the day... unless someone else posts before he can. Last scenario: Scooby posts guess 1 of the day rikcando posts guess 1 of the day Both are answered with # right and # in the right position. svslav posts guess 1 of the day Scooby and rikcando are out of luck until svslav gets a reply! svslav gets a reply with # right and # in the right position. Scooby pounces and gets his second guess in. nod2003 posts guess 1 of the day. Rikcando and svslav now have to wait to post their second until Scooby and nod2003 get replied to. but.. it's 9PM and I've gone to bed! (yah right) Scooby and nod2003 will get replies when I fall out of the rack in the morning, and svslav, rikcando, and nod2003 won't get a second guess for that day. Third guess of the day: (B) You can take a third guess in the same day (subject to all rules above!), but it will be your final answer. If you are wrong - you are eliminated and can no longer play. rikcando Valued Member Canada 287 Posts	Posted 06/04/2010 2:15 pm If I post a second guess 12 milleseconds after someone else, and I intended it to be a second guess, it will be overlooked as a valid guess, and would receive no response. What if my second guess is actually intended as a third guess? What if I have the correct answer, post it, but do so as you are responding to someone elses first guess? I think I will post with the words 'Second Guess' and 'Third Guess' just to be safe. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm not Speedy Gonzalez, so if you're posting, you have a pretty high chance of seeing there is a post already waiting for a reply. Page order of posts will carry - If I'm replying to that post and you're posting your second of the day, if we post the same minute and I post first, it's fine. So you still have to be careful of the pending posts, and there isn't any gain in saying it's your third - it's there just in case you absolutely positively KNOW you are right I don't think anyone's used that 'last' guess yet. I'm not checking guesses that are waiting until the next day anyway Along with that, rikcando is right, someone could post that same answer later that day. This is a chance (small, but there) you would take if you post a second time. It's a strategy thing - you don't have to, but the option is there if you want to try it. Report this Post to the Staff
