Where else can I purchase a coin album other than from a coin dealer? I'd like something which can store all my decimal coins, is there an album which stores all these?

I'm new to this so I really have no idea what to look for.

p.s I'm after something reasonably priced

Tah,
Dani

It depends how you want to store them and for how long. I use smaller holders that store 60 coins in 2x2 holders. You also can get smaller ones that hold 40-odd.

I got some off ebay & some from the coin dealer works out about $20 each.

Cheers Simon.

Oh thats cheap! I was googling albums and some were in the 50-60 mark O__O. I guess i'll just need to try find some coin dealers in my area. I've never come across one before, I hope they're not too hard to find, haha.

Hi Dani
I use VST Coin albums, you can pick them up for about $20. The album comes with all the different size holders needed plus you can easily add to them as you like. Here is a link were I purchased mine from. http://www.downies.com/australia/st....asp?id=2993

It's a shame they don't have a store in WA, nonetheless $27.50 (inc postage) for 250 coin slots is really good! Thanks :)

Larger photographic shops should still stock supplies for storing 2x2 photographic slides; here in Brisbane, Photo Continental still stocked them the last time I needed some. These are the same size as the cardboard or plastic 2x2 coin holders, and can be bought much cheaper from the photo shops than from coin dealers - a pack of 100 2x2 album pages (20 pockets per page) only costs $40 or so; then all you need is a sturdy folder to keep them in.

Hi Dani, There is a coin dealer in Fremantle that has some coin albums. I am not sure if that is near you or not. Here is a link to the web site.

Hi Dani,

I realise you asked for a source other than coin dealers, but this outlet does provide excellent storage solutions. You may or may not be aware that many of the albums and plastic pages available on the market contain high acid content which is absolutely no good for long term storage of your coins. Anyhow, check out the link.
