Hello,

I have this items:
Arabic-Stamps-Or-Seals
(sorry for the quality of pictures)

I heard from somebody that it's arabic samples (or seals), and this is about 1000 years old. Gold binding is the additional, not original.

Did anyone hear about this ? Where can I find more detailed information?
How much it may be worth ?

Thanks for your answers.

Some better pics, and some more information, might help us narrow down what you've got.

What are the seals made of? The word "seal" could mean either the actual stamp used to make a seal, made of carved stone, or the lead impressions made by the stones that actually did the sealing up of documents, objects, structures etc.

Both classes of object appear to be rather rare for the Islamic series (Roman and Byzantine ones are much more common). As you can see from the links to Christies auctions, they can be quite expensive.

The seals are made of glass (in my opinion :) ).
I'm going to upload better quality pictures tomorrow.
Unfortunately, I do not know anything more, but probably tomorrow I will go to the national museum, and I think i'll know more about it.

Thanks a lot for help.
