Sadly, this isn't a genuine coin. The odd colouring and "mushy" details, particularly on the reverse, prove this to be a crude copy of an ancient coin, a drachm or tetradrachm of Alexander the Great. Such coins are often sold to tourists in Egypt, Turkey, Greece and other Eastern Mediterranean countries, where buying and selling genuine ancient coins is illegal.
