I am looking for ideas on a nice way to label some of the extra spots that I will be putting "other" coins in. For example in my Lincoln memorial Dansco, I am going to put a few of my errors, WAMs, etc... and was looking for a nice way to label them. Since the Memorial cent is done I won't be filling the holes for 2011, 2012, etc... and I don't want to add shield cents to it so what is a good way to label these "add-on" coins to my memorial set? Thanks for the ideas.

I have never labeled the extra holes in mine. However, those holes are blank, whereas you are wanting to cover holes that are already labeled.
I suppose that some sort of self adhesive label printer should be used. I wonder how easy it would be to match the Dansco beige to paint over the existing type, then use a black-on-clear label instead of the normal black-on-white.

I like the clear printable labels, but like jbuck mentioned I am trying to cover up a date that is already there and re-label it with something else from the lincoln set. I am thinking about just doing the white labels and sticking them on, but I thought that might look kinda tacky and I didn't know if it would stick well to the page. If they were blank then I could just leave it blank or nicely write on the page itself, but the pre-printed dates are what I am trying to redo.

Maybe you can just replace the last page with a blank page. Then you can label the whole page like JJ did for his satin finish and proof pages.

I bet acetone would remove the printed dates.

It will- I have used it to remove dates and headers on Dansco pages before. You've just got to be very delicate with your touch when doing it.

Very cool idea, I never would have thought about the acetone. I might try that. Would an alcohol swab do the trick if applied carefully? As far as an extra page, I really don't want or need to do that in this case because I would rather just fill the empty holes left from 2011, 2012, etc where there will be no Memorial cent anymore, so I will fill some open holes with varieties/errors of the Memorial cent run.

Alcohol swabs / q-tips are what I used.

I'm sure that by now you have probably already completed your project but perhaps for others who come across this; I pulled out my Brother Ptouch. It had been awhile since I used it but it would do a very nice job. They carry an assortment of tapes including black on clear which would work perfect. You can also choose from an assortment of tape sizes and I found that 3/8" worked well and then you can mess with the settings to get find the optimal height to match the existing print in the book. Best of luck
