One of my most promising coin which I would like to share to you is this 1920 Bronze Wilson Dollar. This was minted to commemorate the opening of the Manila Mint facility here in the Philippines. These specimens were done in Silver, Bronze, and the most rare Gold. According to some books, Gold pieces of these Wilson Dollars were numbered only to 5 specimens, but most of our circle of numismatist friends accounts to at least 20 pieces worldwide. It is also seldom that I see a mint state bronze of these specimen in public auctions.(
ebay has one right now on a "cleaned coin" state) Maybe because of its being a metal that easily corrodes from the very humid Philippine air makes this coin's condition (more of a red to brown mint state) a rarity. No wonder I enjoy this one by a mere looking at it in its place wondering how many are there that exist in this condition?...
