1. Everyone can play, regardless of the number of posts. The more players the merrier!
2. Out of 26 currencies below, given by their code name, I've picked a winning permutation of five distinct currencies.
3. You can post 5 currencies, no repetition within a single guess allowed, and I'll give you feedback in the following form. If you got a currency right and it is in the correct position, I'll call it a bull. If you got a currency right but it is not in the correct position, I'll call it a cow. Example: Suppose the winning combo is
AAA, CIA, FBI, KGB, SOB.
Your submission is KGB, CIA, LSD, AAA, IOU.
Then I'll reply: 1 bull and 2 cows (CIA is a bull, KGB and AAA are cows).
4. The twist: after each guess/feedback I will rotate my winning combo by a position to the right or to the left. From the previous example, after my reply it becomes either
CIA, FBI, KGB, SOB, AAA or SOB, AAA, CIA, FBI, KGB.
I won't tell you with way I rotate, but I'll be consistent throughout the day. The next day (if it happens) I may or may not switch the rotation, but I'll be consistent through that day too. So, to win this game you'll have to chase my rotation as well. Remember, I'll rotate after each (single) feedback, and then give the next feedback according to the new position!
5. Everybody gets three guesses a day, day determined by the forum clock. If you guessed 3 times just before the midnight, after 12:00 AM you can guess again. There's no rollovers, if you missed a chance to post three guesses today, there's no additional guesses tomorrow. You can submit guesses at any time but it may make better sense to wait till I reply to the pending guess.
The exception is your "Final Guess". This could be posted at any time and it ends the game for you. If you get the winning combo it'll end the game for everyone!
6. The prize: if the winner is from the US the prize will be two Canadian dollars, 1994 War Memorial and 1995 Peacekeeping Monument in Ottawa. If the winner is from outside of the US I'll send two US Native Americans dollars. (Pics later)
7. The pool of currencies:
AUD Australia Dollars BGN Bulgaria Leva CDF Congo/Kinshasa Congolese Francs DKK Denmark Kroner EGP Egypt Pounds FJD Fiji Dollars GBP United Kingdom Pounds HUF Hungary Forint IMP Isle of Man Pounds JOD Jordan Dinars KMF Comoros Francs LYD Libya Dinars MGA Madagascar Ariary NZD New Zealand Dollars OMR Oman Rials PHP Philippines Pesos QAR Qatar Rials RUB Russia Rubles SAR Saudi Arabia Riyals TOP Tonga Pa'anga USD United States America Dollars VEB Venezuela Bolivares WST Samoa Tala XAU Gold Ounces YER Yemen Rials ZAR South Africa Rand
Good luck!

I'm getting out of work right now, I should reappear on the radar in about half an hour.

You weren't kidding when you said you had an interesting idea for the next round! This should be interesting.

Oh, boy. That is quite a twist. Quote: Remember, I'll rotate after each (single) feedback, and then give the next feedback according to the new position! If if there are three pending guesses with no replies from you, you will be comparing the 2nd and 3rd guess against a shifted combination...not the combination that was in play when the person made the guess, correct?

That is correct, so it may not be a good idea to pile up guesses.
OK, cards are dealt, my drink is served, I'm ready to start!

Quote: AUD, CDF, EGP, GBP, IMP 1 cow. Rotation is made for the next person. (in the future I won't announce those anymore, but the direction of the rotations will stay consistent today).

Quote: RUB, TOP, CDF, VEB, XAU I treat this as a third guess. So, (after two twists) 3 cows.

Quote: I treat this as a third guess. So, (after two twists) 3 cows. 2 twists on 3 cows, isn't that how to make a milkshake? Going home soon, spending evening with daughter studying grade 11 physics for her exam tomorrow. Then I'll nap, so not much need for more guesses for today. I'll get caught up in the morning when the twister is unwinding. Cool concept svslav.
