I would like a bit of feedback. What metal do you think it is made of, what is it's diameter, and if you can get it out of it's container, what does it weigh? You may have to go to a drugstore and ask the guy to weigh it for you.

I suspect so too, I just didn't want to say that. My questions remain.

This is why I don't get involved with ancient coins. Although I would really love to, I am worried about getting burned on any purchases I make.

It's all in the research. If you are not willing to put in the time to learn about the coins you are purchasing ... don't!

Ancient coins can be rewarding both as a hobby and for financial gain. The trick is to find reliable dealers and other collectors.

Remember, "If it's appears to good to be true ... it probably is!"

I do not collect ancient coins and have no examples so I am far from an expert. What I do know is that ancient coins have a "look" about them that is lacking on the vast majority of tourist copies such as this one. Obviously, I would have no clue when it comes to a well made numismatic replica but a very basic level of education will allow you to weed out the ever-prevalent tourist copies.
