Hi All
I have noticed some Penny Rolls that have dimes mixed in. I know this may sound stupid but why would Penny rolls have dimes in them?

I have found a lot of these kind of rolls over the years. They are customer wrapped roll that someone put a dime in there because they were short a cent or two.

depends on where you're finding these rolls. on ebay, they're seeded. from a bank/brinks roll, this just happens sometimes. from CWRs, again, it just happens.

I've found quite a few "dirty" dimes in customer-wrapped cent rolls.

I agree with jedichef about finding them on ebay. Isn't it amazing how they're ALWAYS on the end of the roll?

That being said, I've also found my fair share of quarters tucked into customer-wrapped halves too.

If you look around there are many places that sell paper rolls for coins. Then too there are many cheap coin counting and/or sorting machines at places like Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc. Usually those are ment for kids to play with but being cheap, many adults use them too and find that all sorts of coins end up in the wrong places.
