Here're two more favorites of mine. Even though they were issued in 1977 they don't seem to address Elizabeth's silver jubilee (unless it was a subliminal message: rule for a long time and have four different effigies on the coins throughout your reign too!) They are made of sterling silver and measure 42 mm. I'll have to get a special page in my album for them (as well as a few more coins) for they wouldn't fit into any 2X2. Yes, I busted them out of the mint display case and I have no remorse about it! The proof issue was only 1934 with Victoria cameos and 1973 with George's. Both coins share the obverse And here are the reverses

I assume they aimed to sell it at a time when "Royal Family collectables" were at one of their peaks in popularity, at the time of the jubilee.

Thanks! It's funny, I have a better chance to look over my coins after I take a snap of them and post them here. I see more detail. First, I saw just a flowery details on Victoria coin (maybe because she was a women). But now I see the meaning of them: Tudor rose, Scottish thistle, Welsh leek, and N.Irish flax.

been looking for nice example of both those for some time. All I ever see are toned versions or finger printed ones.. If they need a new home you could send them my way. I'll take real good care of them...

Nice try, Richard! This is a part of my Main est collection, and those coins would go last, if ever.

The same applies to the George III coin: there's the English lions, the Scottish lion, the Irish harp, the French lilies (as at that time the British monarchs were still claiming the French throne, in vain)and the horse of Hannover.
