There goes my hope for appreciation in the 2006 Proof price. They will make a 2007 Proof. Article in Coin World also says they are studying making fractionals ($25,$10 and $5 I presume), in 2007.

Guess I will sell all but one of my proofs, as I do not see value appreciating unless gold goes sky high.

The original bill slated at least 2 years of the proof buffalo, if I'm not mistaken.

The original Bill was for 12 months, but since it started mid-year, it goes into 2007.

It is my impression NOTHING is set in stone at this time but the U.S. Mint is notorious for trying to control the secondary market which means they will produce more Buffalo gold in an effort to kill collector value but can never kill gold value. Personally, if I had a new herd of gold buffalos I would set on them awhile as gold prices may make your initial investment very good.

Howdy MM,

If you have a herd of these puppies already, IF I were you, I would hold onto them for the moment--believe me, hold 'em until production stops, THEN sell for a nifty profit--UNLESS you need the doe now, otherwise do as you please--BTW,IF you sell, how much you want for 1?
Also just because they are "studying it" does not mean it will happen--IMHO

I guess you guys are right. There are quite a few coins out there with mintage more than 300,000 that command quite a premium. I guess I will just sit on them a while.

PS: They ARE purty things....and the Buff nickel was always my favorite coin. And I got this to go with my Gold and Silver Buff's last week...
