Anybody seeing the 2009 (P or D)nickel around yet or at coin dealers? I see the prices have come down a fair amount and I have even seen 2010 nickels for sale online but have not seen any 2009 or 2010 locally (banks or dealers). I know the mintage is low and a good portion are probably sitting in a vault due to low requests and orders from banks etc... I thought I saw in Coin World where the mint (not sur if it was Philly or Denver) started cranking some more of these out recently. Thanks for any infomation.

I have seen (and acquired) lots of '09 and '10 Zincolns, one 2009 dime, but no '09 or '10 Nickels.

The 2010 d nickel rolls are going from $35-55 a roll. Only 2 ebay sellers on the west coast have them. No Puerto Rico being first this time.

I just got a 2009 D nickel last week! No 2010 nickels at all yet! Northern Indiana.

They finally released how many 2010 D nickels were minted thus far: 34,000,000.

I've found 3 2009 P nickels so far, one of which was last weekend. I'm doing a box of nickels every other week or so, but am stepping it up to weekly.

I've come across two 2009-P nickels during roll searching and I live in California in the bay area. This strikes me as odd because the D-mint coins always show up first.
No 2009 or 2010 dimes, and I think I've gotten three 2009 quarters.

I just read the updated Mint production numbers:
Jefferson Nickel - Denver June 2010 : 36.24 M YTD : 36.24 M
Jefferson Nickel - Phil. June 2010: 46.80 M YTD: 76.08 M
$30 a roll seems pretty steep given the numbers.

I haven't found any 09 or 10 nickels in circulation and I have been looking through the occasional roll. I have gotten both 09 and 10 dimes in change.

Yeah some of those roll prices are a bit crazy. I can wait a bit to get the 2010 nickels rather than pay some crazy price as if they were really rare. They are getting more and more reasonable as time goes on which is nice.
