I recently found a hidden stash of coins in one of my many collections. Some of the coins were good additions or upgrades to my type set.
They might not be as clean as I would like, but the condition is much better
Here they are...

You might want to dip the new indian in acetone, looks to have some PVC damage. I think.

I didn't catch that.
Better upgrade then, depending on the grade.

It does have a touch of pvc (green gunk right?)
I might dip the V nickel too.

Great finds! I'd take the V nickel and Indian cents and give them an acetone bath ASAP to get rid of what appears to be PVC. If it is just PVC, it can most likely be saved if it hasn't yet etched into the coin.

Well, It's not the fact of really forgetting about it, as much as not knowing or caring at the time.
When I moved into the house, I had to clean it out first. You know how it is...Grandma dies and three years later nobody does anything about the house, When I start moving in, they all want the coins and the trains but nothing else. I kept the trains and some of the coins. In hindsight, I should have kept the coins and given the trains. (they were all HO garbage)
Now they are at my fathers brothers place, most likely rotting away in his basement.
I only grabbed what I thought was neat at the time, put them in baseball card top loaders, stuck them in a box with my collection of small curio type things.
Now I actually care about the coins.
