CURSE YOU!

I mean it's like this: I sit down with a pile of ones.

I start to count... slowly...

Check the serial number, check to make sure they match, is it a radar note, is it a web note, is it a fancy, is it a binary or a solid, are there a lot of one digit, etc.

It takes me hours to do the deposit! Curse you all for teaching me!

J/K I love it.

Imagine if you worked as a teller at a bank. Like the rest of us, you wouldn't last long.

My GF does work at a bank and she is immune. She doesn't collect money and wouldn't help me if she had a gun to head.

I find myself holding up the line at the store while checking the numbers on the bills I received in change. Of course, I'm also checking the coins.

Do you ever feel like maybe the clerk behind the counter is giving you the evil eye? "Why is that fool counting the change that I gave him? Does he think I was trying to cheat him?" I always want to tell them that I'm not checking their math, I'm just one of those weird coin collectors.

LOL - I just fold the bills I get as change in half (the rest in my wallet aren't folded) and check the folded bills later. I rarely find much in circulation though.

I'll still count my money in front of the teller. I have very little shame but lots of discipline. But, yeah I know what you mean. I check all my bills for that, too. I don't deal with Ones, but ever since I learned about WAMs I've been holding onto more US Lincoln Cents. No luck yet :P!

Nooo Don't fold them! If you do find something good you don't want that fold forever in it. Do what I do, buy a wallet that has more than one area for bills. I put money to spend in one side and money not to spend in the other. A bend doesn't scar the note like a fold.
