This coin was found in Belarussia - its in pretty bad shape, I am not sure what it is, if someone can identify it or can recommend where I can go for someone to take a look at it - I can also supply more pictures if needed.

Thanks!

Picture of both sides, and a little more zoomed in would be helpful.

Hope this is better - the back of the coin is pretty bad - I will try to see if I can get a better picture - but for now this is the best I could manage.

Sorry, it's hard to pick out any discernible symbols in this picture. Can you see any part of the legend or images on the coin?

The back has a face there - but I cant tell exactly - it looks like something with a helmet - its really hard to see -
The front it looks like it says 1708 - I dont want to clean it - I might ruin it... I will try to see if someone can look at it in person - because you can see little things if you move it around in the light - which I am unable to catch in a picture...

I think I can read "IOAN" to the left of the head; I believe it's a solidus of Johann Casimir, king of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania. See this recent thread for some similar coins.

As the territory now owned by Belarus used to be within the Commonwealth's borders, a Polish (or Lithuanian) solidus is a logical find there.
