Been buying on ebay and Teletrade for a few months now trying to fill my "Lincoln Memorial Proof" PCGS registry set. I find a lot on Teletrade but I was also wondering if anyone can recommend Heritage. How do they compare to Teletrade which I find expensive with the buyers premium and shipping charge. Sometimes its the only place to get the right coin. Let me know about Heritage and what charges they have and also if you guys know of any others for trading. I know Teletrade has a "no reserve, no buyers premium day" but its been mostly junk put up on those days. So it seems to me. I will probably get some rebuttle on that.

Thanks

Teletrade allows sellers to bid on their own coins (at the beginning of the auction), which in effect put a hidden reserve on each coin. I have been the high bid on auctions before, only to have the auction disappear without explanation. I didn't bid high enough to beat the secret reserve.

Heritage doesn't play that game, if there is a reserve that hasn't been met you'll know it.

The buyers premium and the shipping are significant factors at both places.

I've been happy buying from both places, except for what I talked about above about Teletrade.

I have had the same puzzling experiences at Teletrade. I was positive I had the highest bids a few times but when the results should have shown the coin sold to someone it showed up price not realized even though I probably overbid on the coin. There was a coin the other night listed at quite a few places at $55. Previous sales at Teletrade were $50-55.I wanted that coin really bad so I bid $65 max on it. Bidding got up to $45 at the end but when the results came back it was price not realized, no sales. This happened more than once. On no reserve night it gets worse. On the other hand I bid max $40 on a $75 coin and won it. Really weird. Was hoping Heritage was better but they seem more upscale or higher priced items than Teletrade.

Thanks for the info

I actually like heritage a little more than teletrade myself but have bought coins from both sites. I guess I like Heritage a little better because they seem to have more coins I am actually interested in that Teletrade does, but Teletrade does have auctions that end on the same days each week so it is nice also
