I give it a VG-8 to F-12.

The pic is a little dark to see the feather details very well, but I agree with Irish, the eye looks pretty good, and I can make out a few feathers, date is clear.
VG-8

I've seen several of these at dealers selling as Good to VG. Perhaps it's the feathers on the wings that play a factor in the "dealer" world and they also sell for $16-$22 for those, yes 58's.

Deb, without looking at the other responses which might influence my guess, I'd put this FE at G-08. I'm using my own limited slabbed Flying Eagle as a reference collection. The almost-complete loss of feather detail is the key indicator along with the lack of detail on the reverse wreath. It might go as high as VG-10, but that might be stretching it at PCGS. This FEC is almost identical to my slabbed 1858 Large Letters FEC slabbed G-08 by PCGS (yours is Small Letters). Flying Eagle cents are sleeper coins with the exception of the very rare 1856 FE. Despite it's relatively low value at the moment, I would recommend you get this one slabbed; the market value is bound to go up and up and up and, if nothing else, slabbed FE Cents themselves are relatively uncommon and it's very easy to recover the cost of grading, even on well-circulated FECs. What's with all this rain in northern Arizona? I thought AZ was supposed to be desert? Fred

I'll stick with the VG-08. I don't think it'll go higher and it's a little too good to get a VG-06.

The coin is djlusters Morgan Fred but, I too have a similar one only with more detail on the feathers. Maybe I should get mine slabbed also. Hmmmmmmmmm Good points!
As for this rain - geeeeezzzzzzz! Well, it is "Monsoon Season". It's cooler down here - mid 90's but, the humidity is high. Hope that you're planning on staying in the High Country for a while longer! I love the cloudy mornings - they are wonderful! Such a relief from all that sunshine...reminds me of home (Colorado)!!

I haven't read other grading opinions yet, but will right after this post. I think it's a G6. I see some slight wing feather detail, but not enough to push it into the VG range in my opinion. Now, I'll go see what the rest of you had to say...
