Found this while looking threw my State Quarters. It's not in the best shape and it may be hard to see the S in the scans but they're the best images I can provide.

Regards Justin

to the community Justin.

Not sure if you had a question on this coin ..... or just showing us what you have?

Either way ..... you have found a great place full of family friendly experts willing to share their knowledge.

OK .... the Admin Dudes (those late nite folks with green eye shades) will come along shortly and move your post to the US Modern Coin grading forum ....

I can tell you that most grading experts will ask for better photos ..... this is a relatively common coin .... and your photos lack the detail necessary for a definitive grade.

Suggest you crop and re-size ..... resolution appears OK but size and visual detail might be a problem.

Steel cents are hard to grade because they rust. I won't buy rusty 1943 cents because I don't know how ling they will last with a rust spot. With better pictures I can give you a grade for wear. Like I said rust plays a factor in the grade but I'm not sure of the ratio.

Welcome to CC!

Don't get too excited over steel cents. They are easy obtain in mint state for under $10. Your coin is between VF and EF but it is corroded. It's probably worth 5 to 10 cents on a good day. I'm sorry if you may have thought it was worth more.
