Not a die crack, that is caused by impurities on the zinc planchet that start corrosion and cause the copper plating to bubble up.

really? not that I disagree but I have a few gas bubble coins and not formed a straight line like this one or this long?

- gas bubble. You'll see them run the length of the coin occasionally.

Pic is a little dark, but otherwise good!

Bubble....but it's a pretty cool one.

Your pics are pretty good. You're almost there. Just a couple tips:

1) Try a little stronger lighting or a slight increase in exposure rate.
2) Increase your image size. I've found 800x600 resoluiton or slightly less keeps the pic under 100k.
3) Shoot for a file size of 99k by only adjusting resolution. Don't process the image at all, just resize.
4) Manually set your white balance. It's good to calibrate it often. See how your white looks pink? It should be pure white.
