I have a 1947 Swiss 20 franc coin in VF condition and would like to know it's worth.

Can you post a picture of each side of it?

Condition is crucial to value. It's probably not a Swiss coin if it says 1947 on it. Nor French for that matter. Maybe Belgium?

Yes it could be a Swiss coin. 1947 is a common year and at this grade its value should be close to bullion. 5.807 grams fine gold.
1935, 47 and 49 are the most common years. 1926, if any would be the key date for that series, except for the extremely rare 1897 pattern and 'gondogold' issues.

True, Maudry, I wasn't thinking about gold issues, good point!
