Hello,

I am new to the forums and coins, and was wondering how you are supposed to grade a coin. I have collected banknotes for a few years, but I guess they are not even close to similar.

Thanks

The most important thing as I am sure you know is knowledge...get a good book that describes grades...there are a few online sites that are very good...the sites are talked about in this forum...if you are near a local dealer check them out...the dealer where I live says information is free...grade a few coins yourself take a picture of the coin post it to the forum and compare the grade you receive with the one you gave it..

good luck
