Looks VF30 to me with the reverse being stronger. This is a desirable date as well.

I grade it about $3200.  VF30 seems right. |

I'm going to go against the grain and say that anacs gave it an XF-40.

Spencer, my first thought was also a VF30-35. The reverse looks much better to me, possibly EF 40, but they won't grade both sides preferring to go with the lesser grade whatever that happens to be. It looks problem free and one thing you might want to look for under magnification would be hairlines caused from "whizzing or buffing". They will drag a coin down and prevent it from being slabbed. I've seen that on a lot of older gold. You have an excellent coin there with a desirable date from all appearances. Congrats!  |
