thats okay metalman we still like your opionion's anyway. I see what you are saying as well but with the placement of the rust tarnishing and or toning being present around devices and numerals and letters usually is a tell tale sign of cleaning also some coins hane been known to tone from cleaning. I see the little wipe marks that susan is taking about we both can be wrong. but with the rust in those areas is what makes me feel it has been cleaned. But like I think we all have said already, I have been known to be wrong before, well maybe once. LOL. LOL
Rest in Peace

This is an opening I can't resist...

Rick, when you get as old as I, THEN you can play the age card. And, mathematically, you are getting older faster than I. In the meantime, I have plenty of surplus eyeglasses I can bring over; trust me, it only gets worse...

And no fair putting blue or red ink on top of this post. I can't retaliate (well, I can, but I can't do it on the forum. I should mention that as a MacHead, I collect Windows viruses. What'll you give me for the Melissa virus? ).

Admitting a lack of self control is a brave thing to do !!

And no fair putting blue or red ink on top of this post.I would never put red or blue on top of your post !! But I believe I may have found a loophole !! I can't retaliate (well, I can, but I can't do it on the forum. I should mention that as a MacHead, I collect Windows viruses. What'll you give me for the Melissa virus? ). Im not really interested in any Viruses !! But I do wish I had an address where I could send a coin to ,, I came across and 1885 that I really wish I could show you,, I tried pics but the camera has a problem picking up the luster of this coin !! I will try it with another coin next to it,, perhaps the differences will be more notable that way .

Rick, I figured you'd use the other loophole and post in green! Thanks for the compliment. You're not so bad yourself; a sense of humor goes a long way and makes for a longer happier life.

I'd love to see the 85, but my mail situation is really messed up and probably won't get straightened out until mid-September or later after I've been back home for a couple weeks, so I don't dare have anything of value sent to me at either my home nor temporary address. It's a long sordid tale and a condemnation of our Postal Service, but when I have to wait two to three weeks for a parcel or letter to travel only 220 miles, presuming it arrives at all, something is really wrong with the system. Seems every time the USPS raises rates (last was 8 January), the service gets worse. (Any USPS worker reading this? I have a spleen which needs venting...)

Deb, think young + act young = stay young (TY + AY = SY). DeLeon's Formula.

My World has come crumbling down! Metalman - wrong? NO! Please no! He's one of my many trusted Guru's! This can't be happening! Please tell me that he's NOT getting old! I'll send him a stronger pair of reading glasses - I respect and trust his opinions! Oh dear!

Fred - I sent a coin from Mesa at 1:00 p.m., it got to Glendale the next morning - go figure!! Less than 24 hours! It must have traveled by carrier Pigeon!

I'll try to remember your TY + AY = SY when I look into my magic mirror and see those darn wrinkles.

Sorry folks, I'm sure that some of you are wondering "won't that woman ever shut up and get back to the point of coins"? Fred and Rick are two of my many trusted colleagues in this Coin Collecting Family and they are just too easy and fun to miss out on a little teasing. I shut up now!

I don't want to get too maudlin or mushy here, but I also trust Rick. That's one of the attractive factors about The Family: there is a very high degree of trust among the members that is not normally found in coin circles. And these little tangents off the topic make it that much more of a family. So, keep going Deb!

Therefore, from time to time, you can all consider me a bratty (sp) little Sister! I'd understand! Yes, there is a great deal of trust here as well as good humor, education, relaxation and a multitude of opinions. That makes our World go 'round!
