adam.. look at my listings for auctions. I have a few of them I restored using 14.5% muriatic pool acid I picked up at home depot for $9.95

They are are not worth a ton, but that does not dampen the thrill of the find does it ?

oh, no, I don't care about the value!

i am just thrilled to find them.

although at least 2 of them are worth $3 or more.

I just scored my first Buffalo nickel as well, but I don't know if I want to dip it in vinegar, or anything. It's dateless.

after a couple days in vinegar, I have about 4 common dates and a 1916.

still about 5 more to go

sounds like good fun. are there any posts around showing how well this soaking works, like a before and after. (sorry new around her, but i'd like to see more of what you are talking about 'bringing the date out.' )
