First, if I am in the wrong forum, please move to the correct forum or perhaps just list the forum I need to be in for newb questions.

Question. If I receive and email through CC from someone offering to sell coins, how can I find out how long or how many posts he has had? When I click on the search tab, I see that I can list the members name but it also must include a keyword. Is there a different way to do this? Many thanks.

In the top left searchbox, just put their username. The results will take you to one of their posts, which would show you how many posts they have made.

also if you look at their user profile their time here will show on the upper are hand corner. kind of a bluish background. IE Member Since: 04/14/2009 (me)

edit-

you can find their user profile as follows: once you see one of their posts click on their name. Or the 1st button right above their post, looks like a little person in profile against a background of notebook paper.

Probably other ways too, but since you're already finding one of their posts to find their post count...

I don't know the entire situation but if someone sends me an email or any message saying they want to sell me something, ANYTHING, I simply go to the delete button and press down.
If you don't know who it is, didn't ask for his input, not sure what is going on, press the delete button.
Be safe, not sorry.

Unless they're responding to one of your "Wanted to Buy" posts Carl.

Go to MyCCF >> Members, then you can search for a member name. I moved the link to that page quite some time ago. I thought the member list was a little too accessible to non-members on the main page.

I was responding to the fact that nothing was mentioned in the first post here about a request for anything. It only appeared that someone received an email without any requests for one.
