Talked myself out of bidding on this one. What do you guys think the real value is on this coin? Thanks for your input,
John1

Not sure as to value as I'm not a big error collector but it does have some cool eye appeal!

How would you like to be digging through a bag and find several of those puppys? Anyone know what the percentage of broad strikes is per 100M coins?

Its a Broadstrike but I'm not too positive its a real clip. You can see alot of pushed up metal on the reverse of the clip. I'm not sure if this would happen because its Broadstruck or its just not a real clip. I would wait to see if an expert thinks its a real clip or not. If it is then jump on it. If not, I would pass
Anyway, $10 is a great price for this. I'm sure it goes above that starting bid

I am not sure on the clip either. I personally have never seen a broadstruck incomplete planchet so I am not certain what the appearance would be and those pics are too small to see the clip well. However, that is a massive well-centered broadstrike and the copper plating does appear to be intact. Post-2000 errors are tougher than 20th century versions because of QC measures enacted by the Mint(no more mint bags, riddler machines, etc). Fred Weinberg has several uncentered broadstrikes available for $15 so I would expect the ebay example to be worth a bit more due to centeredness and size.
