Thanks for the replies! I have slacked off on my coin collecting recently since it is quite difficult to find places to buy coins. I do always look when I go to street markets, because often there will be a seller or two with old coins mixed in with their other antiques. I have picked up a few this way, but nothing too crazy. I went back to the local coin shop just a week ago since I happened to be in the area when they were open. I didn't buy anything because I feel a little aimless in my Japanese coin collecting right now. I need to make a plan or goal for what I want to collect while I'm here. But it's really cool to see and hear about everyone else who is collecting coins here, so thanks for posting :D

The gold $5 Indian coin I picked up in Japan came back from PCGS as AU53 (29521051), which is not too bad. They priced it right about $500 so it's not a bad pick up. Just keep your eyes open for all types of coins.
