A week or so ago I read the post about die clashes and not being able to associate what part of the die caused them. First thing to remember is the fields on the die cause most of the clashing. These are the highest points on the die. Lincolns profile and the design elements of the memorial building are incuse and very seldom reflect any signs of a clash.

What your seeing in the first half of picture is a clash from the field between the nape of Lincolns neck and hair line to the lapel on his jacket. This clash would normally be found on the lower left side of bay 4 had the die been only slightly misaligned.
The 2nd half of picture shows the field above Lincolns beard going upward to his lips. This clash would normally found on the lower right side of bay 9.
Use the lower die clash chart to compare. Hope I made this understandable.
