My question isn't so much what this is but WHY is it on a PCGS note?

The hotel buyers hoard is where someone camped out buying up notes in a hotel, possibly having someone to grade notes along the way or maybe having them all graded when it was over.

Either way, why would PCGS list that info on the slab? If this person was hold up at a garage sales would they put Garage Sale Hoard on it?

I heard this ? on another forum. It may be wrong, but apparently it was a "cash for gold" sort of operation where a particular group of people would travel the counry, holding up in hotels buying everything in site. I guess they accumulated quite abit, in order to be recognized like that. I've seen foreign stuff from the hoard, military money. Dont know many specifics, but the hoarding was recent. Iv'e seen 1993 graded bills with that designaion.
