I wish I could help you with some information but I don't know anything about foreign monies or values or anything. I'm sure lots of people in here will tell you all about your paper money though.

Its so interesting, and I always find it moving when there's that human history and sentimental value. Many relatives (all canadian of course) landed in Normandy. Many came home. Some didn't. It's interesting for me to see the other countries and France money for the troops because of knowing about Normandy and my relatives serving there, and some at rest there, so your story struck me personally and I just had to check your thread out :) Thanks for posting! Good luck with solving your money mysteries ..... and finding out how to preserve them. You have an awesome family history archive there, including Vietnam

Just a thought here bvalania - Separate it by "Military Currency" and "regular / country currency" once you get to your grand parents collection.

There are quite a few knowledgeable folks on this topic here and am sure someone will chime in.
