Pisa, Italy. Not pictured, but should be KM#40, 1/2 Guillio.

Any idea of what one of these coins is worth? Or the silver content? A guy offered to sell me one that is pretty culled. But the exact same coin. Its neat. But I dunno if 5$ is worth it. Its dateless. And I know nothing about these.

First of all, welcome to the forum, IDigHistory!
My catalog (which by the way has a pic of it) gives the value in VG (lowest available there) condition of $20.
It doesn't say the silver content because, I suspect, it wasn't constant. The weight varied as well.
I'd say, IDigH, you should ask yourself whether the coin is worth $5 to you! If you find it attractive, as a numismatic and historic piece, and if shelling out a $5 not a very big deal, go for it. If you're interested in it as an investment or just for its silver content, then I'd look for a more secure deal.

I am interested in both aspects of it. I love coins period. Silver is just my favorite metal. But if the coin was only worth its weight in silver, I wont pay over that was really my point. 5 is fair for the history. But. Again. I dunno much about this odd coin. Never saw one before. I will buy it. I can afford it. And maybe you can help me get it sorted so I know the details so I can stick it in a nice case. Culled or not. I love old coins.
Thanks for the Welcome BTW. I will get more active soon. I run a website and silk screen business. and I am always behind on forums. This one looked to be the best choice. Lots of good info on here. Thanks for your help.

I'll give you the info that I can scrape.
The denomination is 1/2 Guillio, or Grosso. Was minted in Pisa which was under the Tuscan Grand Dukes. This type was minted 1714 through 1737, under the rule of Cosimo III de'Medici, 1670-1723, and Gian Gaston, 1723-1737.
Pisan cross is on the obverse, and Madonna on the reverse.
Weight of the silver coin varies 1.20 - 1.39 g. throughout the years of issue.
That's all I can tell you.
