Several Canadian Trade Dollars/Tokens caught my eye today however, I know very little about them or where to find info such as metal content, values, etc.
Here's what I picked up: 1973 Indian Days Banff Festival Dollar 1977 British Columbia Nishga Dollar 1988 Niagara Falls "West From Above"- "The Towers of Niagara" 1983 Jasper Canada Souvenir Dollar 1985 Calgary Stampede "Bucking Broncos"
All are very nice with luster and protected in 2x2's.
If anyone can give me ideas on metal content, values and where to look for more information, I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks all! Edited by dsking 08/09/2006 11:04 pm

I will change them to greyscale...haha sn31, you shared my secret! For those of you that don't know about my dig cam experience yesterday. I took the forum's advice and turned off the flash, used natural lighting (actually outdoor lighting), put them on a grey background...thought that I did everything correctly - yea sure...put them on my puter and they all had a blue sky background reflection - oh duh! hahahaha

Dsking, those are very common $1 tokens.I've seen ones from Vancouver as well as ones from Calgary & Edmonton. Some of the Vancouver ones depict First Nation Canadian designs, which are very distinctive to British Columbia.Kind of reminds me of the Canadian 1958 'Totem Pole' silver $1,doesn't it?
Aidan.
