I would like to get some opinions on this. If you could I would like to hear why it would not make the next grade up in your opinion.

They turn out a little darker than I hoped. If you would like better photos I'll see what I can do. Thanks all.

I think that's wear on the top of eagles wings so I'd say AU.

I see what B12 is saying, but I do not see any wear. I would say ms-62, it is hard to grade by photo. He may very well be right. I do see some scratches and or a few bag marks. The surface looks pretty original. I see what would show up in a photo ( I think as cartwheel) and seems to have some toning

No grading help here, but here's a great article on this coin...

I see what you are saying about the wing. Don't know why the photo showed it like that. In hand I see no break in luster at that point. And the toning looks to be the same through the wing area. Photos turned out like junk. Was trying something different with the photos. I was thinking 61 luster is rather dullish. Maybe 62. These ms grades can be tough from time to time.

Very nice! I would love to get one of these for my husband for Christmas - he was born and raised in Chi Town! Cool coin and a nice portrayal of Mr. Lincoln!

This is one of my favs also. Most of the early commems are fantastic. Such artwork. Hey Bonedigger where are you seeing some wear at. Is it the same as stated above or are you seeing something else. Would like your opinion. Have an eye in training.

Looks to be wear on the neck feathers of the eagle and on the eyebrow. Just a little bit, but with the coin in hand your in a better position to know for sure. It's difficult to assign accurate grades with only a two dimensional picture.

That's a great coin. As for the grade, I can see what you guys are saying about the wear. If there's no wear, I'd say MS-61 or MS-62. If there is a little wear, I'd say AU-58ish.

Thanks for helping me out with this one everyone. Those areas are questionable now that you all have pointed it out to me. I don't think it is wear from what I see, but lately I have been wrong more times than being right. I'll take it to my local dealer on the next visit and get his opinion since he will be able to look at it first hand. Thanks everyone.
