I went to a coin and stamp show that was close to where I was at the time. Looked for some Indian Head cents, early standing libs, couple'o wheaties. Couldn't find anything I wanted but I did find these. Thought I'd share...thanks.

Nice notes!
Question: Is the lower district number on that first note washed out because of the flash or is the ink very light?

With regard to the topic of this thread, I did the same thing a while back. There was a coin show about a half hour drive from me. I went looking for an uncirculated 1931-S buffalo but wound up coming back with some notes instead. Nothing as nice as yours, but some 1963 series I needed to complete a district set I was working on.

I didn't buy one of the many buffalo's I saw because I couldn't find an uncirculated one.

I'm not crazy about $2 notes, but all of those $1s definitely have class. Very nice.

Although I am a currency cataloger by day, I am also a token, medal, and coin person. It's nice to know there are plenty of other folks out there who enjoy multiple areas of numismatics as well. It certainly can make coin and currency shows more interesting!

I have done that myself quite a few times over the years! Nice notes that you picked up.

Zee, do you like these $2's?

acidic1, a while back on ebay there was $1 note (70 or 80's) with the same 1 7 combo (exact SN I think) that would have been nice for you as a set.
