I have had this coin posted for 24 hours now but have yet to receive one comment yet form the coin community.
Can anyone provide their opinion and let me know if I have this coin posted in the correct forum?
Thanks

I sort of new here but it seems to be in the correct forum. I'm sure someone will be along to give you their opinions. Be patient.

Can you take another closeup with different lighting? I'm on the fence. There should be a depression and some die flow lines which I can't make out in the pic. The shape looks about right for a coin that's seen some heavy circulation, but again, going to need a better pic to say anything with any certainty.

WashQuartJesse,
My camera that took the mintmark picture only has a limited field of view.
If you could be more specific regarding exactly where on the coin you need some additional closeups, I will refocus my efforts and take another photo of the area that you are referring to.
For example you might say something like obverse side, 25 mm down from the rim at 2 o'clock or something more specific like this for example.
Thanks much

I am leery of this coin myself. It has a grainy appearance which can be associated with a cast counterfeit.

I don't have anything specifically to base it on, but it doesn't look "right" to me. Where are you getting these coins from?

Album collector,
I bought about 7 of these questionable looking coins at a yard sale for about $ 1 each just to take a chance but paid $ 35 for the 1932D quarter since it looked decent.
I still would like to take some additional closeup photos of this coin for someone to make a final and decisive determination.

Looks like someone collected counterfeits.

You need to post more closeups of the mint mark. It wouldn't hurt to weigh the coin if you have access to a scale.
Remmy, are you basing that on this coin or the context? Please explain.

A photo of the rim opposite the MM would be good too, unless it's otherwise conclusive. I've read of some very skilled people drilling into 32-P from the rim and working up a MM using a punch. Update: just out of curiosity, I looked at few dozen or so authentic 32-P on Heritage and made a pic of various mm positions (some may be the same die). Something I notice right off, is how the mm aligns roughly to the space between the "E" and "R" in "QUARTER". Notice the size of the genuine mintmark? Here's a blowup of the OP's coin to compare:

DV, check out the rim at 12 o'clock on the obverse photo. Looks a bit odd. I'm wondering if these are even silver myself.

Here is the exact weight using a recently calibrated digital scale: 5.75 g Hopefully, these additional photos will assist to solve the mystery. It was getting dark, we both were running short on time, and my digital scale started to malfunction right when I was about to weigh this coin as the time of sale. TIP: always carry extra batteries for your scale when out of the office on yard sale ventures etc. One question that I do have is if all cast coins do have this characteristic seam near the rim that this coin obviously has. Please respond on this sub-issue. I really hope you all have enjoyed this discovery process as much as I have. I sincerely feel that I have have not wasted my time. I hope all the participants feel that their time has not been wasted either. thanks, mdpmedia

Always good when you learn something. And for $1 I probably would have chased them also.

That weight is far too light... Sorry
A good learning thread nonetheless
