I may be heading to a coin show tomorrow and selling some things. One of the coins I'm taking with me is a 1982 1/2 ounce Krugerrand. I was in a necklace, so I'm probably looking at basic melt value per se. I'm curious what others have been seeing for "buy" pricing from dealers for gold.

Thanks for any help.

A couple weeks ago I went to a coin show and sold a 1oz Australian Lunar series II tiger for 50 over melt. It wasn't an ex jewelry piece but I would shop around and not take your first offer you get. If I would of done that I would have gotten 50 under spot.

I'd guess you'll get offers around $600 for it. With melt at $648, I'd hope for $640 or so but that will be a tough sell. Let us know what offers you get.
