Maybe it's living in a small town, but the bank tellers always are friendly and never seem upset when I ask for rolls.
Also, I had most of them in school back during my teaching days.
I probably pick up rolls once a week, but never a bunch of rolls -- maybe three or four.

I get rolls to full up my circulated books. So far I have completed pennies and nickles. Pennies from 1959 to present and nickles from 1954 to present. I take out all of the wheaties I find and all of the new nickles. I just need 4 more dimes to complete dimes books .
AND TODAY I FOUND MY FIRST SILVER IN A ROLL!!!!!! A 1954 DIME!!!

I pick up two rolls each time I go in and ask for rolled coins. This is done exactly 5 times each year and it happens approx. 10 weeks apart for the entire year. What I ask for is the State Quarters when they are issued and the 'D' mint is the ones distributed in these parts.

I usually pick up 1/2 rolls once every 2 weeks from the bank, and search through the change rolls at my work each time they come in. Find a lot of silver in the quarters and dimes b/c they use clear rolls.

I do, I search mostly halves, but have been known to search cents, nickels, quarters, and dollars too.

It can be a lot of fun to search bank rolls. I used to search bags of Lincoln's years ago.The best part is you pick only what you want, replace the coins, and the rest can buy more rolls! Mike

I visit my bank at least 2 or 3 times a week. I'm after at least two rolls of each of the 6 denominations. One I open and place the 20 in 2x2s. That gives me 20unc (with the occasional chunc or gem). The other I put away for a rainy day. I also swap them for non circulating legal tender coins like the mint your owns (the die is stamped on a portable press). There is also a strong market for uncirculated rolls of coins on Australian ebay. For example, a roll of unc 2005 which I can get from the bank for $20 is selling on ebay for $50 plus postage. The reason for the mark up is that unc rolls are generally only done by one company and that company generally only provides to one bank. They are therefore not as common as one would think, and they are generally the only source for unc coins.
