Hello everybody, today I found a bill that had the end of one of its red security fibers poking out of the bill. Never seen that before, is it common?

I have run into "hair thickness size fibers" on chcu $1's where a portion has been sticking out. It's sort of one of those odd ball situations and I have plucked it out with tweezers. Although it looks weak it's "firmly" embedded in the paper stock / linen.

I've found a few like that, I'd say they are fairly common.

Money, I saw this and was reminded of this post. Pics not the best but the left and right edge have been pulled up by "ME". The center portion is laying "flat to the surface" and is embedded.

BTW, Figured out how to use the "macro" function on the camera.
