this token is from montreal quebec canada he listed in the book (tokens of quebec by fred bowman in 1972 ) page 47 #3152e

i am dont know date of the token struck but j h wilson is hardware in 1890 mr wilson dead nearly 1900 or 1901 just before Horace Augustus Besner responsible for keeping

Horace Augustus Besner was born at Castle Bridge in 1874. He studied at Collège Bourget in Rigaud
and graduated in Commerce. His first business class hardware to EC
and J. H. Wilson in Montreal. In 1897, Horace Augustus Besner, responsible for keeping
Book Store in Montreal, was appointed head of a branch of the store Wilson
who settled in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. After the death of Mr. Wilson, Horace Augustus decided to
into business and founded the store that was called at that time and Besner Chasle. His partner
then J Gilbert Chasle. Home Business & Besner Chasle opens its doors to the public
May 20, 1901 at 6, rue Nicholson Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. This is a hardware store. In his
edition of October 10, 1907, Progress writes: "The store, occupied for the purposes of trade,
[...] Is composed of three floors with large cellars, well appointed, systematically
arranged to assert the beautiful wares. "In 1913, the store moved
in another building in Nicholson Street. Horace Augustus leads the trade for 42 years
assisted by Chasle for 36 years.
