Can't seem to find this one anywhere in my 2006 copy of "World Coins 1800-1900"

Am I blind or is it just not there? What exactly is this coin? Current trends value would also be appreciated

This coin is from the Philippines under Spanish rule and is KM#148, 2.5960g of .8350 silver, low mintage of 10,000. Grade wise I would say VF-35, has some dark staining. Value about $6.00.

I agree with them. The above coin circulated here in the Philippines during the Spanish Regime. Spain was the one who introduce monetary system in our country that started from barter trades, to the use of south american coins, counterstamps etc...
You will notice that all silver coins bearing bust of either Queen Isabel II or her son King Alfonso XII...
If the portrait is facing right side - it s a Spanish-Philippine coin. But if their bust portraits are facing on the left side - It was used only for Spain's monetary sytem.
The same thing happens to Gold coins only for King Alfonso XII but vice versa ...
If the bust faces on left - it is a Spanish-Philippine coin. But if the bust faces on the right - it was only intended for Spain's use. All Queen Isabel II gold coins were all facing to the left may it be for Spain's monetary sytem or for Philippine use.
I noticed some verdigris on the date, top of the crown and beside the Espana inscription of the above coin. I would recommend a mild lemon wash for 2 hours on your coin of maybe an acetone bath. But please never wipe off the coin. Just let it air dry after rinsing it with distilled water.
Your coin is nice looking because of the visible (clear) moustache of King Alfonso XII. The Green thing will worsen in time if you will not act on it the soonest and will greatly cause damage to the coin.
