I never actively collected them, just wound up with 1000's. I once bought a huge lot of vintage Chuck E. Cheese, the varieties are endless and some go for $500+. Transit tokens are the neatest IMHO, because they cover a broad spectrum of interests. I have a plastic bag with maybe 200 from 1918 & '19 in a desk drawer. Some days you can't give them away. That aside, any modern piece is a keeper, just for the sheer enjoyment of variety. It's how my kids and g-kids got into collecting in general. As with most coins, errors can carry hefty premiums.
