I don't know why any much-used website would be down for several days, unless it is permanently down, but the PCGS site also has a price guide that is not as detailed as Numismedia, and you can get pricing at Coin World's Coin Values Online if you have an account.

IMO, PCGS price guide is way more over inflated compared to Numismedia's.

Coin World and PCGS's price guide are usually highly inflated and not accurate and Numismedia is also slightly overvalued but you can't beat the price.

I used to think that was the case, but as of late, I have been seeing some Coin Values Online prices that are below Numismedia prices. Maybe they wised up over at Coin World.

there are a few series (but only a few) that the values they have are low compared to what you could actually go out and purchase one in that condition. I know the Seated coinage used to be one of these coins but not sure if they have been fixed by now since I haven't looked in the past year but some of the Bust coinage was another that was listed very low compared to the actual cost one would have to pay to acquire one of them in the specified grade listed (I am talking about High AU and above grades not sure about lower grade coins because I never looked for any of them)

Just where do you trust the pricing ... Gray sheet ? Auction "realized" prices ... ebay seems old hat, profit takers only ... what do you all think ?

The NumisMedia website is back up and running as of this morning. I did not check it this weekend, so I do not know how long it has been back.
