I have never had the pleasure of meeting another member of the Coin Community Family. That could change this coming Saturday. I will be at the ANA Convention in Denver on Saturday, and would like to meet CCF members. Should arrive close to noon and then stay as long as I'm interested in what I'm seeing. So, will probably be there a looooooooong time. Anyone else going to be there? Any way I might meet you?  |

scoutjim99, I have two nice digital cameras, both Nikon D-70's.
Unfortunately, I still haven't learned to post pictures.
I'll take a few, and then see if one of our kids can post them.
Heck, if not, I may have to learn how to do it myself!

Gary: As you and everybody else know's (tee hee) I'll be there with bells on! HOME! We're flying to Denver in the morning and are planning on being at the "World of Money" also around Noon Saturday! I thought about trying to meet up with you either at Daniel Carr's booth or the Denver Coin Club booth. Maybe I can have you paged or vice versa? In any case, I'll find you! Let me know and we'll meet up! Ofcourse, I could look for someone drooling over the 1933's but, then again, we'll ALL be drooling! I'll e-mail you pics of us and I know what you look like from the Perpetual Set picture in front of the Delta sign. My husband is 6'4 and pretty easy to spot - even in a crowd. I'm sure if you just listen for me you'll find me going Gary, Gary Burke, Gary! tee hee SEE YOU SATURDAY I SURE HOPE!!!!!!!

We'll be in Pueblo with the in-laws. My brother-in-law is developing an interest in coin collecting, so he wants to go with me. I'm sure my wife (MountainLady) will be there as long as her current flu symtoms clear up.
We will leave Pueblo headed for Denver at around 10 a.m. Once there, we will check out Carr's table and the Denver Coin Club area.
Only "downer" about this whole thing is a lack of money on our part. I would like to buy some coins, as well as a convention souvenir. Oh well, looking isn't all that bad.
And Deb, you'll find everything nice and green. Great time of year. Blue Mesa was as high as I have ever seen it. I don't really look forward to fall and winter, but you have to have them in order to enjoy spring and summer.
See you in Denver.

Now you have us all in a dither. Let us know- Did you find each other? I wanted to go- but my wife's illness prevented that- I live in New Mexico and could have made a nice trip otherwise- Have been to many coin shows- but never got to see the elusive 33 Gold double eagle== Give us some particulars on the show when you can. Thanks! Dewey .

Dewey, Wish you could have made it. Perhaps the ANA will choose the west again next year for a show, and you will be able to attend. I joined the ANA in 1961 and this will be my first Convention. |

Amac44, I met Billy Martin and got to spend time with him in the dugout when I was in junior high school. Real nice guy, at least with kids. I really enjoyed the experience.
