Ningcumpoop Valued Member Canada 220 Posts	Posted 10/23/2013 7:29 pm I don't think these 1953 nickels are as scarce as they are portrayed to be. I believe there are many more sitting in drawers and jars that are simply unattributed. I found 4 of these "mules" in 1 lot of nickels just a few months ago, 2 of each type. More will definitely show up as will 2005P non mag pennies now that more people are aware of their existence......the hunt is on. Report this Post to the Staff

Supply and demand, with demand being lost to flash". I think you may be right dialog_gvf, I think young collectors are more attracted to "ooo shiny" rather than a beautifully toned coins.
