Came across this LWC today, I can't tell if it's a 1916 or an altered 1946. Thre is a scratch that make the third number difficult to read. What do you think?   Sorry for the bad pictures.

I think the picture makes it easier to see the remains of the 4 compared to looking at it with the naked eye. 1946 for sure.

It has VDB on Lincoln's shoulder and that wasn't put there until 1918 so that eliminated 1916 immediately.

May not be altered. Could be a filled die, causing it to appear as a 1916. Looks like part of the cross bar is still present to the right of the vertical.
