Well I'm interested in starting to collect the type coins in the dansco 7070 album. But my concern is how gold will preserve in the holders. For example if I buy a graded coin should I take it out of the case to put it in my album or what? how well do dansco's keep valuable's?

I do not have the gold page in my 7070, but a lot of others do.

A 7070 can be purchased with or without the gold page, it is not mandatory. I personally do not have the gold page but will probably get it after the rest of the album is completed. As for the preservation of gold in an album, that will be the least of your worries. Gold does not corrode or tarnish like copper or silver, it is a very stable metal. I have purchased a few slabbed coins for my album, all of them were cracked out and the labels taped to the inside cover.

I personally dont like using Dansco's alone for expensive coins. Thats why I like using Airtites.

Should be no problem...I don't collect gold coins, but, I wear 2 gold rings...one of them was crafted in Norway in about 1910 and I've worn it in very harsh conditions with not a change of appearence and also a ring crafted in 1969 and not much difference since I purchased it other than a few minor scratches. I've worn both rings since 1969 and other than some deterioration in the letters because they are signet rings, they still look the same. There's a lot of hyped nonsense about coin storage......sincerely

I wouldn't worry about the gold coins in a dansco, like others said the gold will be fine. You might not want to get the gold page however because you might want to keep the gold separate from the Dansoo so you can keep the gold in a safer place. I would get the dansco 7070 without the gold coins personally, but everybody is different (you can always remove pages or add them later)
