The details on this coin are strong. Close to AU but EF easily. The spot underneath the drapery clasp looks like environmental damage but might be removable.

The toning looks odd, but aside from that, I'd say XF.

Color looks ok to me. I would grade it a bit lower, in the VF-30 to 35 area. 1834's are usually reasonably well struck. Just a bit too much wear on the top of the wings for EF-40, but it is close, and would probably slab as EF-40.

The coin doesn't look cleaned, has a rim dim just above star 5 still a nice coin that I would garde at VF-30.
